Non-Profit Jobs
A non-profit job involves developing, testing, and refining strategies, and communicating those strategies to board members, other staff, and maintaining of trends, practices, laws, developments, technology and other related aspects of the non-profit field. A non-profit volunteers maintains effective working relationships with diverse groups of professionals and professional organizations, foundations, and funding sources and are responsible for making site visits, attending conferences and representing company programs to the public and to leaders in the program area and reviewing and assessing proposals. A non-profit volunteers contribute to the foundation’s interest in and practice of strategic philanthropy including due diligence, goal-setting and review of business plans, knowledge building, evaluation and exit strategies. A non-profit volunteer may also be engaged in the evaluation of grants and program initiatives.
A non-profit volunteers require a graduate degree in public policy or related field and political implications, and have a demonstrated ability to navigate these issues diplomatically. A non-profit volunteers should have good interpersonal skills, including a willingness to listen to internal and external constituents and learn from their best ideas. A non-profit volunteer must have knowledge of and appreciation for the military and their families, preferably through prior military experience.
