Kids Volunteer Jobs
A kids volunteer job involves maintaining weekly contacts with the social workers, school personnel, mental health, and other service providers. A kids volunteer gives written monthly reports in a timely and appropriate manner to CASA staff, reports include a summary of the child's progress, identification of any concerns, compliance with court orders and recommendations to the court. A kids volunteer runs the designated activity on the day and ensures that it works correctly; oversees clean up at end of the day, trains them on the activity well in advance of the dry run, checks off names of kids in the group from the registration document, as they arrive and get to know the kids. A kids volunteer takes charge of the kids activity in its entirety to be main point of contact for all activity crew, keep the kids under control at all times; does not allow them to behave badly towards anyone.
A kids volunteer requires a high school diploma or GED, experience working and/or living in a developing country. They must pass all screening procedures to include a written application, personal interview, reference and criminal records check. A kids volunteer should able to maintain all standards of confidentiality in relation to the case. A kids volunteer must have basic computer skills which will benefit students and teachers alike.
