Volunteer Computer Jobs
A computer volunteer job involves refurbishment process including receiving, allocating, and managing inventory; loading operating systems and software; troubleshooting hardware; arranging for pick-up with clients. A computer volunteer also communicates student stories, successes and/or issues and challenges quarterly count and organizes incoming hardware. A computer volunteer maintains hardware refurbishing, manages forms and paperwork related to hardware processing, keeps online records of inventory, donations, and processes status, prepares disk images, ensures hardware is professionally prepared for donations and troubleshoots hardware.
A computer volunteer job requires knowledge and experience with disk imaging with FTP servers highly desired. A computer volunteer should have excellent communication, organization, and time-management skills, ability to independently solve problems and resolve issues, excellent people skills including customer service orientation. A computer volunteer should have knowledge of computers and familiarity with Microsoft Office and internet are all that is needed.
