Minnesota Excellence in Learning Academy seeks a Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten Teacher who will inspire young minds and share a commitment to ensuring that every child achieves their full potential. This person will...
Create and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans based on pre-school standards.
Work with KG Staff to ensure appropriate vertical alignment of the standards to create a smooth transition into Kindergarten.
Provide a caring and supportive classroom environment for students which supports creativity, curiosity, and exploration of the world around them.
Creates a behavior plan for the classroom as well as individual students, if appropriate, based on the Zones of Regulation and the use of ENVoY strategies.
Supervise a para-professional, ensuring they follow the teachers instructional practices and behavior management protocols.
Participate in all staff development opportunities as well as professional expectations which are based on MELA values and mission.
Participate in external professional development opportunities which will help create a strong pre-K program, coordinating with MELA leadership.
Valid Minnesota Teacher License B - Grade 3 - Early Childhood Education
Prefer minimum 1 year of experience teaching in urban setting
