Provides direction, programmatic and managerial leadership for all volunteer activities and programs within the North Florida (Jacksonville and Pensacola) region, the Volunteer Services department staff and volunteers in collaboration with Volunteer Services – Orlando and the Jacksonville’s **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. Responsible for representing the Department as appropriate, assuring compliance with all applicable legal and regulatory requirements affecting the associates/volunteers within the area of responsibility.
Provides oversight and management of administrative and operational activities of the Department. Assures compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements. Communicates effectively and coordinates information and resources with other departments as well as outside entities to facilitate appropriate volunteer opportunities.
Responsible for planning and meeting budgeted financial goals of the Department. In preparing and submitting budget, assesses operational, personnel and equipment needs to provide necessary services. Monitors financial performance utilizing reports provided and/or creating and maintaining additional reports/statistics to monitor performance of Departments in more detail.
Identifies problems or potential problems in delivery of services and resolves or presents recommended resolutions to administration. Develops, interprets and implements policies and procedures to guide and support the provision of services.
Coordinates and monitors the entire placement process for all volunteers including recruitment, scheduling, orientation, evaluation, training and supervision.
Recognizes, motivates, and retains volunteers through a variety of programs and effective communications to develop volunteer leadership and potential.
Identifies program opportunities for volunteers throughout the clinics, working with staff from departments and administration.
Participates in meetings and committees as required/assigned.
Responsible for the coordination and completion of special projects as assigned by Administration.
Bachelor's Degree required.
Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years experience required.
Certification in Volunteer Administration (CVA) or Certified Administrator of Volunteer Services (CAVS) desired – Must obtain certification within 2 years of hire.
Experience working with volunteers, preferably in healthcare required.
Must be willing to travel to Pensacola location - approximately 10% travel to Pensacola.
