The Early Career Program Manager will create and lead various talent development initiatives for IT's early career programs. This position will report into the IT Chief of Staff Talent Management team to ensure alignment and continuity with the organization's strategy. The Early Career Program Manager will work with the Chief Information Officer and his Leadership Operating Committee (ITLOC) to build and execute on the program strategy.
Responsibilities
The Early Career Program Manager strategically identifies, develops, and implements initiatives for IT early career programs, including internships, rotational, and direct hire programs that enable the IT organization to continue to grow and strengthen our talent pipeline. As the Program Manager, you will be working across the IT organization to recruit volunteers to support engagement and management of the program. The successful candidate will work effectively as a member of a team, be able to provide direction and leadership, delegate, and possess strong organizational skills. Early career hiring is a major focus for our CIO and his leadership team, making this work highly visible and critical to our strategy. We are looking for an individual with a desire to understand and a passion about new and emerging technologies, which are also critical to the strategy.
SPECIFIC DUTIES INCLUDE:
STRATEGY & EXECUTION
Strategize and design all aspects of the early career programs and execute your vision in alignment with current trends and best practices
Support creation of cross-IT team focused on enabling execution of early careers strategy (i.e. identifying skill needs, conduct interviews, mentorship, etc)
Provide leadership and guidance to the champions
Create a recruiting and marketing strategy for universities and colleges
Ideate on new programs to continue evolving the strategy
Design and facilitate policies and procedures training for leaders and IT associates to support the early career programs
Partner with other early career programs across Humana for best practices and leverage a solid understanding of the competition to improve program offerings
Create and facilitate learning and development sessions
PROGRAM SUCCESS ANALYSIS AND METRICS
Continuously improve and validate programs and experience through collecting, examining, and incorporating feedback and data
Leverage program data to tell success stories and opportunities
Share key performance indicators (KPIs) with relevant stakeholders
STAKEHOLDER/CUSTOMER COLLABORATION
Work with chief IT leaders and HR partners to implement an efficient and seamless advising process, from interview to placement based on their early career-related needs
Collect feedback from stakeholders to identify and act on key objectives
Collaborate with the broader IT Learning Strategies team to identify and analyze existing training content that could be leveraged for the early career program
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and at least 5 years of experience in relevant field
Previous experience working with early career programs
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office XP products (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, SharePoint Design)
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrated success in a fast-paced office environment
Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task
Previous experience leading projects
Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
Like to work in a developing and changing environment with new tasks and challenges
Have strong time management skills
Enjoy taking initiative with new projects
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Want to help students get the most out of their experience
Ability to quickly build and maintain trust with senior business leaders

Project Management experience
Previous experience working with internship programs
Have coordinated or managed intern programs in the past
Demonstrated ability and passion for bringing structure to ambiguity / working in 'white space' and independently managing strategy engagements from conception to final deliverables
Additional Information
Humana and its subsidiaries require vaccinated associates who work outside of their home to submit proof of vaccination, including COVID-19 boosters. Associates who remain unvaccinated must either undergo weekly negative COVID testing OR wear a mask at all times while in a Humana facility or while working in the field.
Work-At-Home Requirements
All Humana associates approved for the Home or Hybrid Home/Office work styles are required to self-provide wireless, wired cable or DSL access to the internet at the connectivity speeds required by the company to successfully perform their job with the exception of associates who live or work from home in the state of California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota. Connectivity requirements are detailed below.
Connectivity - Requirement Details
To ensure Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates' ability to work effectively, the self-provided internet service of Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates must meet the following criteria:
At minimum, a download speed of 25 Mbps and an upload speed of 10 Mbps is recommended to support Humana applications, per associate.
Wireless, Wired Cable or DSL connection is suggested.
Satellite, cellular and microwave connection can be used only if they provide an optimal connection for associates. The use of these methods must be approved by leadership.
Humana will not pay for or reimburse Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates for any portion of the cost of their self-provided internet service, with the exception of associates who live or work from Home in the state of California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota. Associates who live and work from Home in the state of California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota will be provided a bi-weekly payment for their internet expense.
Humana will provide Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates with telephone equipment appropriate to meet the business requirements for their position/job.
