Company Profile
For decades, the streets of the Bowery, Manhattan's skid row, were filled with down and out individuals hung-over, panhandling, homeless and without hope. In 1971, a small group of these men came together and bravely decided to change their lives through recovery, caring professional support, and community action. The Bowery Residents' Committee (BRC) was born. BRC's legacy still resonates in our programs and the people we serve, even as both have grown and changed, adapting to the needs of those we serve. BRC is where change happens where individuals change their lives and where our programs adapt in response to new challenges and changing needs. We engage men and women who have serious and complex problems at a point when they are ready to take the risk inherent in trying to turn their lives around. Our programs empower our clients with the knowledge and skills to permanently overcome poverty, addiction, physical and mental illness, homelessness, and unemployment.

What I liked about the service is that it had such a comprehensive collection of jobs! I was using a number of sites previously and this took up so much time, but in joining EmploymentCrossing, I was able to stop going from site to site and was able to find everything I needed on EmploymentCrossing.
