Credentialed Alcohol and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC)
HONOR is a non-profit organization supporting residents of Orange County living with multiple, co-occurring needs, meeting them where they are and supporting them through a holistic array of services using a trauma informed, person centered approach. Our Substance Abuse program provides immediate access to crisis care intervention, providing medically assisted detox services as well as rehabilitation in a safe and structured residential environment. The CASAC is responsible for the support and mentoring of clients across all elements of care. The CASAC Counselor conducts clinical substance use disorder (SUD) treatment under the diagnostic guidance and plan prescription of the Clinical Director. The CASAC will manage a patient caseload, conduct group therapy, individual counseling, family counseling, and client and family groups. S/he will act as the central receiver of pertinent clinical data and works closely with the Clinical Director in the formulation of treatment planning, responding to crisis within the milieu, and planning for the needs of clients to ensure efficacy of service delivery.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE POSITION:
2.BA/BSW and 3 years of experience working in a clinical setting with individuals with SUD preferred.
3.Must be a team oriented individual with the ability to work in a fast paced environment, excellent written and verbal communication, organizational and computer skills required.
4.Ability to relate to and work with ill, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset and at times hostile people.
1. Full Time 4pm - 12am Tuesday - Saturday
