Briarpatch provides a broad array of services to more than 3,000 runaway, homeless, at-risk, and court-involved youth annually.
Youth Case Manager – Americorps
This position provides counseling and case management to young adult clients (ages 18-21) of the Transitional Living Program (TLP). Individuals in this position provide positive support and conflict resolution for TLP clients residing in the TLP House.
Experience working with at-risk youth.
High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.
Effective communication and organizational skills.
Spanish language skills a plus.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Provides case management services to TLP clients as assigned.
Establishes and maintains case files on assigned clients. Documents client contacts in case files, and completes case-related documentation in accordance with TLP and agency standards.
Provides assistance and support to TLP staff as required.
Provides assistance, support, consultation, and training to TLP volunteers as needed.
Develops and maintains a working knowledge of the TLP and agency policies and procedures.
Provides an evening and weekend presence at the TLP house as scheduled.
Performs other reasonable and related duties as assigned.
Flexible hours; some evenings required. Agency is open 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM Monday-Friday.
Valid driver’s license required.
Living Allowance: $13,732.00 for 1700 hours in one year; ($572.16 gross per paycheck, semi-monthly). Education Award after one year’s service: $5,920.00.
