Profile

General EHS Responsibilities

* Develop and conduct emergency response training program.

* Develop and conduct monthly and quarterly refresher training sessions.

* Assist with the development and implementation of large scale emergency response drills.

* Any additional duties delegated by the EHS Emergency Management Program Manager

Position Specific Responsibilities - EHS Trainer

* Maintain all emergency response equipment in a readiness status.

* Schedule training sessions.

* Promote and recruit Google volunteers for the Earthquake Response Group (ERG) and Building Evacuation Team (BET)

* Conducts initial 24 hour Earthquake Response Group (ERG) certification training.

* Develop, implement and conduct monthly ERG refresher training sessions.

* Maintaining all safety and ERG training records provided by the EHS Team.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

* Bachelors degree in an emergency management, safety science, or similar field. Proven industry experience acceptable in lieu of degree.

* Minimum 3 years experience conducting emergency response training.

* Experience with developing emergency response training programs.

* Working knowledge of and experience operating in the Incident Command System.

Preferred Qualifications

* FEMA ICS 100.b, 200, 700 Certifications, Certified Trainer, Rope Rescue Technician I/II, Certified First Aid/CPR Trainer, CERT Certified, other Safety or Emergency Response related certifications

* 3-5 years

* Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

* Applicable requirements for emergency management plans, programs, and policies

* Proven training competency

* Benchmarks and performance standards

* Conduct training

* Develop training assessment instruments (e.g., written tests, skill assessments) to assess training competency

* Develop training programs (e.g., presentation skills, tools)

* Documentation retention or management principles (e.g., incident investigation, training records, exposure records, maintenance records, environmental management system, audit results)
