Description The Voluntary Solutions Director (VSD) role is a field-based Voluntary subject matter expert that supports the Cigna field sales and account management teams in driving Voluntary growth. These resources are aligned by geography and support the Cigna sales offices for both Cigna Group Insurance (CGI) and Cigna Healthcare (CHC) within the footprint. Key areas of expertise include: Product solutions: Accidental Injury (AI)\/Critical Illness (CI)\/Hospital Indemnity (HI) and corresponding pricing\/UW strategies Enrollment solutions: Internal capabilities, external options, paper processes Administrative solutions: Billing and claim processes The VSD role is responsible for proactive and consultative support of the local markets to increase the institutional knowledge of Cigna's Voluntary solutions in the field. They serve as a channel for ongoing communication and training of evolving capabilities with the goal of maximizing the voluntary premium opportunities within each of the sales offices they support. The VSD is also responsible for external producer engagement for Voluntary in conjunction with the CGI and CHC sales teams. More specifically, the VSD role will: Market level Voluntary strategy. The VSD will partner with the market leadership teams to develop and execute a strategy to grow voluntary product sales within their geography. The strategy will take into consideration broker relationships, growth strategies, competitive intel, local trends, and core product strategies. Voluntary specific sales reports, forecasts, and updates may be a part of this strategy. Putting together market or block level opportunities, attending finalist meetings, conducting seminars, etc. may be a part of any particular market level strategy. Drive market awareness. Each VSD will be responsible for building relationships with other external subject matter experts within their assigned markets. These sessions will be to inform our producer partners on Cigna's products and capabilities in the Voluntary space while gaining a thorough understanding of specific needs in a particular market. Going beyond the voluntary SME, each VSD will also facilitate vendor relationships in the technology\/enrollment space. Support Voluntary training in the local offices. Each VSD will conduct a targeted training session on a pre-selected topic every quarter. VSD will work with the leadership teams in their assigned markets to designate the appropriate training for each individual\/team. They are also available to conduct ad hoc training sessions or in-market broker meetings. Collaboration with matrix partners. The VSD will be a resource liaison for operations. They will participate in internal calls so operations can better understand sales\u2019 needs. Each VSD will share specific market feedback so underwriting, pricing, and enrollment can better understand market conditions. This partnership will help facilitate a best practices approach where sales and each matrix partner better understand each other. Incentive Compensation The VSD role is eligible for incentive compensation. Specific details will be addressed in an annual compensation plan.
