If so, then UCR ARTS is looking for you! UCR ARTS seeks an energetic professional to lead its School and Volunteer Docent Program during a time of opportunity, growth and many exciting museum-wide projects. The primary objective of the Manager of School and Volunteer Docent Programs will be to provide meaningful, educational opportunities that help young people and the public explore and learn together during regular visitation, special programs, and public and private tours. This is a new, hands-on position where you're not only managing but also building and delivering creative programs to a broad audience. This is not a 9a-5p job. The Manager of School and Volunteer Docent Programs will need to have a flexible work schedule that could regularly include evenings or weekends. The Manager will manage the development, delivery and evaluation of innovative programs for middle and high school students and teachers, community college and university students, community volunteers, and work in partnership with the Executive Director and curatorial staff to raise the profile and reputation of UCR ARTS in the region and beyond. The Manager will cultivate strategic partnerships with educational and non-profit communities and build a state-wide network of educators to increase our visibility and school tour frequency. The Manager interfaces with multiple departments to maintain a strong connection between student workers, volunteer docents and school tours and will be a valued part of a team, working collaboratively to build positive relationships with our school partners. S/he will envision and implement an array of exciting experiences for young people and visitors that make UCR ARTS a safe, welcoming, and inspiring destination. UCR ARTS is composed of the California Museum of Photography and the Barbara and Art Culver Center of the Arts. We are located on a single block in adjacent historical buildings in downtown Riverside, easily accessible to the public as well as the campus. Visit our website at: ucrarts.ucr.edu. The anticipated starting salary for this position will be $55,000 plus benefits. A Master's Degree in Education, Museum Studies, or Art History is strongly preferred.
