Req ID: 44808 Coordinate Volunteer Services at Mercy Hospital with special emphasis on ensuring that those services help to create an exceptional experience for our patients and visitors. Commitment to modeling a whats best for the guest approach to all tasks. Responsible to assist with onboarding, training, retention, coaching and support of volunteers, volunteer activities and volunteer program at Mercy Hospital. Provide daily guidance, expertise and oversight to volunteer staff to ensure smooth and efficient operations during all shifts. Maintain good communications and hand-off of information from one shift to another. Oversee the distribution of daily work assignments, creation and maintenance of volunteer job descriptions and staffing schedules as well as resolution of departments routine operations and staffing issues.
Two years post high school in a related field or equivalent of education and experience
BA/BS degree preferred
Experience supervising volunteers preferred
Familiarity with Volgistics management program a plus
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong supervisory skills, strong leader, self-motivated, self-starter
Knowledge of compliance and regulatory standards
Commitment to guest service and patient experience excellence
Ability to work well individually and as a team member
Competence with Microsoft Office programs
Must be successful in working with a varied and diverse group of people
Energetic, assertive and able to make and or flex with changes
Ability to train, motivate and coach volunteers to achieve department goals
M T W Th 4pm - 8pm; Sundays 9am - 1pm
