The hospital is a member of the respectedSunrise Health System consisting of Sunrise Hospital, Sunrise Childrenu2019sHospital, Southern Hills Hospital and several surgery and diagnostic imagingcenters offering a complete range of specialized and technologically advancedservices. The Director of Volunteer Services isresponsible for the operations of the Volunteer Services Department in accordancewith Hospital Mission & Vision, and for the recruitment and training of allvolunteers. The Director recruits, onboards and maintains adult volunteers toserve the organization. Oversees the junior volunteer summer program. Maintainsall records in accordance with hospital policy and Joint Commission. Spearheadsand maintains the hospitalu2019s amenity cart to impact patient satisfaction.Participates in hospital committees where appropriate. The director serves asthe primary point person for volunteers. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: Planning, Organization andDevelopment :Develop a strategy and infrastructure for missionu2010driven volunteerengagement. Develop and implement goals and objectives for the volunteer program Conduct ongoing evaluation of the program and services delivered by volunteers, recommending and implementing improvements as identified and/or necessary Write volunteer position descriptions in consultation with appropriate staff members Supporting the PatientExperience: Ensurethat volunteers are living out the organizations Mission, Vision and Values,while supporting initiatives of the hospital Maintain and enhance the hospitalu2019s Amenity Cart program Community and LeadershipSupport and Engagement : Cultivate and demonstrate community interest and executive commitmentto volunteer engagementu00a0 Develop and implement effective strategies to recruit and retain qualified volunteers with the appropriate abilities and aptitudes Resource Allocation : Identify and requestallocation of sufficient resources (time, funds, people, and tools) to supportthe volunteer program and engagement Tracking and Evaluation : Track the activity,outputs and outcomes of volunteer contributions, and monitor the quality of thevolunteer experience Maintain recordkeeping system for tracking volunteer hours with consistent procedures Establish and implement a process for evaluating the contributions of individual volunteers and the effectiveness of each position in serving organizational goals Prepare an annual report of the contributions made through the volunteer program Effective Intake,Onboarding and Training : Train volunteers and staff on their respective rolesu00a0 Develop and implement application and interview protocols for potential volunteers to achieve the best match between the skills, qualifications and interests of the volunteers and the needs of the organization Ensure that volunteers are given appropriate training to be successful in their positions Technology andCommunications: Evaluate and recommend technology that will support the volunteerprogram Advance adoption of participation and tracking software (existing and/or new) Determine communication protocols for volunteers and those working with them Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Bacheloru2019s Degree License/Cert: None required Experience: 3 years previous volunteer program experience required Special Skills: Interpersonal skills necessary to deal effectively with a diverse group of individuals, as well as to establish effective working relationships with fellow employees. Extensive knowledge of the community. Comprehensive understanding of Company and Department Policies, Procedures, and Operations. :
