Association is seeking a qualified candidate for a temporary support position

with our Youth and Family Initiatives team. If you are energetic, flexible, a

team player, enjoy handling multiple projects and interacting with people, this

may be the job for you.

The position emphasis is assisting the Manager, Youth and Family Initiatives

with organizing camp related activities. Duties include: reaching out to community

organizations to promote camp; tracking registrations; processing reports;

assisting with volunteer recruitment, scheduling and training; managing supply

orders; tracking inventory of camp supplies; managing on-site camp logistics,

including volunteer orientation; and other related projects as needed. A

background check is required for this position.

The successful candidate will at all times show professionalism, excellent

customer service, initiative and a strong sense of urgency in a team-based environment.

The candidate should have an interest in serving people with diabetes,

especially children, and possess strong written and verbal communication skills

as well as strong computer skills. Attention to detail is required.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Contact community

partners to promote camp

* Track and manage

registrations using our online platform

* Pull and organize

Excel reports from our registration system

* Reach out to local

universities, health systems, and volunteer organizations to recruit volunteers

* Manage volunteer

scheduling and track paperwork

* Assist with planning

and scheduling in-person volunteer trainings

* Take monthly camp

committee meeting minutes

* At Camp

               

-Lead daily volunteer orientation as new staff arrive

               

-Fill in for counselors breaks (along with other staff)

               

-Support Medical Director as needed

* Other responsibilities

as assigned by the Manager, Youth and Family Initiatives','!*!* Experience with

general office procedures

* Proficiency with MS Office Suite, mail merges and other related databases

* Familiarity with extracting data to create reports

* Comfortable answering

phones 

* Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written skills 

* Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize in a fast-paced

environment 

* Ability to lift at least 25 pounds
