Support CFO units as they add volunteers and serve as a connection between volunteers and the stakeholders. The REFIT program focuses on stakeholder management to engage highly-skilled volunteers across all regions to be the conduit between the volunteers, the business units including Real Estate, Finance, and Information Technology, the Workforce Planning team and the local regional Volunteer Services teams.
Appropriate initial and on-going training will be provided. Participation is required.
Promote understanding of how volunteer work in the CFO units connects to the mission.
Serve to facilitate and engage volunteers in the region to maintain volunteer workforce and preserve availability.
Welcome new volunteers.
Support CFO units as they add volunteers.
Serve as a connection among volunteers, CFO units, Workforce Planning team, and regions.
Engage volunteers by utilizing multiple communication modalities, e.g. email, text messages, phone, to provide consistent communications between stakeholders and awareness of volunteer opportunities, activities and celebration events.
Support and encourage virtual engagement activities and events; attend Red Cross events.
Hold regularly scheduled teleconferences with volunteers to share best practices and build team.
Support volunteer recruitment in region or division (when requested by region).
Check in with Regional Volunteer Services Officers (RVSOs) to ask about current or upcoming needs (when requested by region).
Can commit to at least 3-5 hours per week
Understanding of the value of volunteers in carrying out the Red Cross mission and importance of providing leadership and support to ensure volunteers are productive and have a rewarding experience.
Must reside in the region.
Have demonstrated experience to validate engaging volunteers.
Strong verbal, written and communication skills with multiple modalities.
Work experience with volunteers or leading volunteers preferred.
Willing to engage in occasional travel within region.
