Manager of Volunteer Services



This full – time exempt position provides an exciting and fulfilling opportunity for a candidate with a passion for volunteerism and proven success in recruitment and engagement of volunteers.



Your four – year degree in Human Services (or related field), along with five years’ experience in volunteer management, along with recruitment, training and volunteer program development will open the door to the St. Ann’s Experience.



To be successful in this role, you must possess knowledge and expertise of long - term care, geriatric and senior services. One or more years’ experience in fund raising and event planning is preferred. Experience using Raisers Edge is also preferred.




Highlights of this Role


You will supervise and manage over 300 volunteers with a wide range of experiences and skills. In addition, you will supervise the Volunteer Coordinator on our Cherry Ridge Campus in Webster.



You will champion the promotion of the spirit of volunteerism at **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***.. Your leadership will ensure each individual has a meaningful role and that the strategic volunteer needs of **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. are being met.



Serving as liaison in the community, you will grow external partnerships to promote volunteerism through public engagements, creative marketing, and new volunteer program development.




In addition, this role is responsible to:



  • Assess the need for volunteer services at St. Anns Community, on an on‑going basis, through interaction with Senior Leadership, Leadership I and II, Supervisors, Nurse Managers, and Therapists.

  • Assure that volunteer personnel and the departments they support are in compliance with pertinent Department of Health and Labor Law guidelines concerning volunteerism in an employment setting.

  • Monitor effectiveness of volunteer services including assurance that all volunteers meet organizational standards pertaining to personal conduct, dress, attitude, motivation, reliability, safety and concern for the general welfare of the residents and participants.

  • Manage membership recruitment and retention efforts for auxiliary groups. Provides support and strategy development for these groups fund raising efforts.

  • Manage the volunteer database.
