Medical Volunteer Jobs description
A medical volunteer assists with general check-ups and examinations of patients, as well as assists in triaging emergency patients, answers medical questions and refers more complex issues to a clinician for review, assesses and evaluates members of the public for medication. A medical volunteer provides a brief medical evaluation to determine if the individual should receive the medication; evaluates symptomatic individuals and refers for transportation to a medical facility if necessary. A medical volunteer ensures that the recipient receives an information sheet about the medication that includes instructions about additional dosages, complications or need for follow-up care. A medical volunteer job includes traveling to patient’s homes in rural areas to help with vaccinations and care for patients who have become immobilized; also work firsthand with patients suffering from tropical diseases.A medical volunteer requires appropriate special training. A medical volunteer professionals must have current professional licenses. They should have worked and performed under a medical director. A medical volunteer should have good vision, hearing, and mobility and excellent communication skills.
